Shave hours off of your prep time so you can focus your time and energy where it matters most

Most SLPs hit the ground running after they graduate.  Things are new, exciting, and fresh.  After some time passes, the "SLP burnout" can start to kick in.  There are so many hats that an SLP is expected to wear and it starts to become exhausting!

You might be wondering how in the world it is possible to save time when it seems like you are constantly expected to do more.  You're being pulled in different directions, wearing a dozen different hats and seeing more students than you'd ever imagined.

I hear you! I've been there and it's not easy.  I usually hear one of two things from the SLPs that reach out to me:

  1. You mean to plan your sessions in advance, but you are just so incredibly busy that it never quite plays out like you'd planned. You want to be a better SLP, but you can never find the time!
  2. You DO plan your sessions with lots of thought and preparation, but you are TIRED. The thought of doing this year after year for the foreseeable future brings you to tears.

So what do you do?  My suggestion is to look at the things you can control and start there.  There are so many "uncontrollables" in our SLP world; like reports, IEP meetings, and all of the expectations that come along with being a school SLP.  Take a look at your current materials. Are they easy to access?  Easy to transport? Easy to prep? Engaging? If you answered no to any of those questions, then I highly recommend that you give digital resources a try. You might be wondering, why digital? Look below to learn how going digital can help you.

Save time. Almost all of the resources on the site are no print or no prep. These materials are ready to use immediately after you download. No cutting, laminating, or printing!

Save space. Because the files are digital they don't take up space in your speech room! No need to worry about complex organizational systems as you acquire more resources.

Save sanity. Sometimes you just don’t have the time to plan your sessions like you wish you could. We’ve done the hard work for you and put together an awesome library of materials that you and your students will love to use for years to come.

Most SLPs get less than 30 scheduled minutes a day to plan for the 20+ students they see that day.

We all know that isn't enough, primarily because we all know that that 30 minutes is not just for planning. It's for catching up on Medicaid billing, consulting with a teacher who pops in, returning a parent's phone call and so many other tasks that aren't actually "planning" for our sessions.

What if you didn't need 30 minutes of planning each day?  What if there was an easier way?

Go digital and reclaim the time that you deserve.

Seriously, you deserve it!  You serve others all day long and you go way beyond the call of duty to help your students.  Not only that, but you help out with lunch duty, bus duty, and you evaluate those new students who are thrown at you with no warning.  Why would you deserve anything less than the best?

Incorporating digital resources into your SLP bag of tricks minimizes stress because it directly correlates with a reduction of time spent planning and preparing for your students.  The best part? You're not skimping on quality and you get to spend more time with your students. These resources are high quality and are developed to maximize student engagement while minimizing preparation time.

Is it worth the investment?

Great question! If you are a school SLP, you're probably making anywhere from $40-60/hr. This is just an average and I'm sure some of you are making more and some less.  If you take half that amount, you are now left with $20-30.  Therefore, thirty minutes of your worked time is equivalent to 1 entire month of the membership (and even less if you sign up for the annual plan!). If these resources save you at least 30 minutes of time a month (and I'm sure they will save you much more!) then you have broken even.  Anything beyond that and you've come out ahead!!!

SARAH

"My students and I have greatly enjoyed the no print theme-based activities that focus on vocabulary, auditory comprehension and expressive language tasks. Love that this can be accessed at my desktop or iPad, and that you often provide tools for varied levels. These activities seem to keep even my most challenging students engaged. Also love when you use ‘real’ pictures to teach vocabulary."
